Vroom

Players send an imaginary car around the circle.

In a circle, players pass a “racecar” (made of the first two fingers of the right hand) across their body, while making a “Vroom!” noise. The next player continues the movement, giving the illusion that a little car is speeding around the circle.

Try to match the sound you just heard. If the car’s engine goes up in pitch, match the pitch.

Once everyone’s got the hang of it, you can add some complexities.

Brakes: instead of taking the two-finger car, the player can pull back on an imaginary handbrake, while pressing a brake pedal, and making a braking noise. The previous player then takes the car and sends it speeding around in the opposite direction.

(If there’s too much braking, add the rule that each person can only brake once.)

Obstacle: Player throws hands in the air and shouts “Wheee!” The car has gone into the air, jumping over the next person (who should do nothing), and landing on the person after that, who continues the car’s “Vroom!” motion as usual.
